One valuable opportunity lies in low-cost production of high-pressure steam electrolyzers for the direct synthesis of fuels such as ammonia, syngas, methane, and methanol. Leveraging our patent for a pressure-tolerant reversible ceramic electrode material is key to operating electrolysis under the high-temperature and high-pressure conditions necessary to synthesize ammonia and hydrocarbons.
