Our Technology Edge

Our patented manufacturing process and reversible electrode paves the way for miniature fuel synthesis reactors.

Innovation & Approach

Alternative Energy Materials has patented a breakthrough ceramic manufacturing process for multi-material ceramic monoliths with internal gas routing. One valuable opportunity lies in low-cost production of high-pressure steam electrolyzers for the direct synthesis of fuels such as ammonia, syngas, methane, and methanol. Leveraging our patent for a pressure-tolerant reversible ceramic electrode material is key to operating electrolysis under the high-temperature and high-pressure conditions necessary to synthesize ammonia and hydrocarbons. This direct integration of the water-splitting and fuel synthesis increases performance, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Our pioneering green ammonia technology represents a generational leap in process intensification. Economically producing storable, transportable, and usable fuels directly from renewable energy, air and water is a crucial step towards decarbonizing global energy systems. Our integrated approach combines materials development, manufacturing innovation, and simplified systems design to drive real-world impact.
